Yet another Sakae Sushi @ Subang Parade

fried salmon karnage soft shell crab temaki1 May 2008

After the big bang ending to McDonald’s promotion on 30 April 2008 where with a coupon, buying a large McValue set will get you a 6-piece chicken set, both of us were actually still full though we had it for supper the day before! Thus, what better food to eat but Sakae Sushi. Yes, I also feel like I am always reviewing Japanese food, ha!

As usual, my favourites were ordered like salmon karnage or fried salmon fish head, RM 3.90, spicy salmon RM 1.90, fried maki RM 1.90, soft shell crab temaki or handroll RM 3.90. As expected, fried maki was relatively empty with just rice & seaweed & soft shell crab temaki had very little crab in it. However, the spicy salmon at least had fried makichunks of salmon in it & the fried salmon fish head was still good.

The biggest difference I noticed in this branch is the service is very slow especially in delivery of food as I also remembered I faced the similar issue during my last visit which was for lunch during a working day. I think all our orders of total 4 plates only came almost half an hour later.

Latest updates is the folks at Sakae Sushi just revamped their menu as of 30 April at Subang Parade & Queensbay Mall. They actually first started the menu with the branch at the Pavilion.
