This hotel was chosen as the third best hotel to stay after Northam & Gurney because of its affordable rates & also variety of facilities in room & hotel as well as friendly service. The prices are:
RM 150 for single room or RM 165 for double room
RM 165 for single deluxe e-room or RM180 for double deluxe e-room
(All rooms comes with breakfast)

This medium sized hotel has got 240 tastefully furnished clean rooms. There is no difference between superior or deluxe rooms, but there is a slight difference in the deluxe e-room where the rooms are all on the club floors which are the 2 top most floors, it also provides you with the privacy of your own lounge to have your buffet breakfast! I also noticed that there was supposed to be a small room for guests to surf internet but that was used by the hotel staff at the time of my stay. On top of that, all e-rooms comes with wifi & cable internet connectivity in the rooms.

I opted for the deluxe e-room as I needed the internet access so the breakfast was splendid as I was surprised that there were quite alot of variety of food packed into toiletthat little lounge (though less variety than Gurney Hotel) & they did prepare eggs & sausages hot on the spot for you. The lounge also had newspapers & magazines for your reading pleasure, but was disappointed that there were no evening cocktails there but only served the welcome drinks in the lobby cafe. The room came fully complete with iron with ironing board, fridge, tea/coffee making facitilites, personal mirror, hair dryer, electronic safe, extra pillows & plus these extras which Gurney & Northam does not have, bathrobes, razors, comb & even toothbrush! Above all, I liked the colour scheme & environment in the room where the colours were soft, soothing to the eye & provides a relaxed atmosphere.

On the hotel facilities report, there are the usual swimming pool, outdoor jacuzzi, samsara spa, business centre, 3 function rooms, cafe tropics & a supposed George’s bar (which I could not find). Service wise, I personally liked the friendly staff serving at the lounge, I did not manage to see a frown on their faces when I was there. The receptionist & bell boy was not too bad too. The best part of this hotel is there will be a street of endless hawker stalls with all the popular penang food literally at the hotels doorstep! However, many of the stalls are not recommended like the fried oyster omelette which is too mushy.
