Inflation Buster Breakfast

Kopi corner Jaya One23 October 2014

A thousand apologies yet again for a long absense of food reviews with the last being more than 3 months ago! But with the most recent petrol price increase of 20 sen on 2 October 2014 yet again (though world prices are dropping), we will need to work harder to earn more!

Thus, just a simple guide of cheap eats for breakfast of around RM 5 & below around Klang Valley as of today:

  • Of course, the usual Weekday Breakfast Special at McDonalds RM 4 to RM 4.85+ - a food item & a cup of refillable coffee or tea
  • Just started this month for a limited time, Jimat Jimat McD where a Sausage McMuffin with Egg goes for only RM 2.95! Everday from 4am to 11am
  • Mamak stall called Gerai Makanan No. 10 next to Giant in Taman Paramount, if you are facing the main entrance, it is on the right side. Roti Canai or biasa, nasi lemak bungkus & teh tarik still costs RM 1 each!
    Jalan 20/16,
    Paramount Garden,
    46300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Opens everyday until 5pm but closed on Sundays
  • Al-Meerasa Restoran - Just literally outside Giant of Paramount Garden, on the left side of the main entrance with orange signboard. Roti canai or biasa still costs RM 1 but teh tarik costs about RM 1.30. Opens 24 hours 7 days a week!
  • Mamak stall opposite the SS2 police station. Roti canai or biasa, nasi lemak bungkus & teh tarik still costs RM 1! Opens everyday until 5pm
  • Ikea breakfast still RM 1+ for a rather small plate of noodles, fried rice or porridge which changes everyday. Free coffee is given between 9-9.30am but the breakfast time is 9am to 11am.
  • A & W breakfast - from RM 3.95 for pancake to RM 6.95 for Nasi Lemak with Chicken & add RM 1 for coffee or tea
  • Kopi Corner at Jaya One - from RM 4.50 for bun or toast with coffee or tea to RM 8.90 for Continental breakfast
    D59-LG2-2 Jaya One
    No.72A Jalan Universiti
    46200 Petaling Jaya
  • Dr. CAFE COFFEE all day all time breakfast with arabica coffee - from RM4.90 to RM6.90.
(Choices of egg, egg with cheese, ham with freshly toasted sandwiches, great quality plus cozy ambience!). Facebook
  • Le Lapin Cafe - from RM5 (croissant, sandwiches, etc with Italy coffee Musetti before 11am!)
31-1, First Floor, Plaza Danau 2,
Jalan 109F, Taman Danau Desa, Kuala Lumpur.
    Tel: 03-7497-0407
  • There are other places like Heritage Village in Paradigm Mall (outlets in Solaris, SS14’s Jaya Mall), Teh Tarik Place, Delifrance, KFC and Wendy’s but would need to verify the availability & prices first especially after the petrol price increase!
