It is not often I go Kepong in search of good food. However, after going to the hot springs at Selayang / Rawang, I took this opportunity to look up some good ol’ places like KTZ & this western food place which is not too bad. I am not sure what I ordered previously but this time I came with open mind. It has both aircon & non-aircon areas as well as the roadside where it looks abit like a mamak. However, I was surprised that the decorations at the air-conditioned area was rather quite tastefully furnished.

Among the 3 of us, we decided to order Chicken Cordon Bleu at RM 14.90, Salmon Roll at RM 9.50  & Mixed Veal & Beef Sausages at RM 16.50. I would say the pricing is quite reasonable at Secret Recipe’s standard or even slightly cheaper. Oh yes, prior to being served with the food, as the name depicts, d’ fortune, we were each given a fortune cookie where in the cookie, there is a small note that predicts your day or future.

The Chicken Cordon Bleu was crispy with rich cheese taste in it meaning quality cheese is being used, however, some may think the cheese taste is rather too heavy & overpowering the chicken taste as what was said by my friend’s sister. The salmon roll was good too with the perfect blend of cheese & salmon wrapped by popiah skin. I particularly liked the sausages as it did not seemed to be those mass produced & each different sausage had its own special taste though the gravy seemed like it was used on a variety of dishes. On the menu, it is described as combination of veal bratwurst, beef BBQ frank, beef breakfast sausages served with onion ring and gravy. Additionally, as many even upper market restaurants only give option of mineral water as plain water, this restaurant is reasonable enough to give it for free!
