‘Fresh’ chinese herbal tea @ PJ oldtown, anyone appreciate?

30 Jan 2008

Across wet market and the main bus station in PJ Old Town, there is this old timer surviving in this competative market. Believe it or not, there are about 4 stalls in a row selling herbal tea day / night!! What a competition selling just herbal tea here, haha…

What I particularly love about it? Only at this stall, one can find:

- FRESH herbal tea?! Yes, they will not keep their drinks overnight. That is also why they offer only 1 or 2 types of herbal tea a day. It is very hard to find someone still insist on serving quality drinks nowadays when it comes to herbal drinks, in my humble opinion.

- It also tastes more oomph as it is freshly made in smaller scale, we especially love her ‘5 flowers’ herbal tea.

- Very cheerful petit old lady who is easy going and always smile. She loves doing this and would never consider to retire, she said.

- Price for take away has been RM1 since ages and it is served generously. Tips: try to go later to get even more generous portion…

You won’t notice this stall because it is the smallest and less eye-catchy one, sitting in front of the ever popular Heng Kee Bak Kut Teh (3rd generation) / next to a newspaper stall.
