Best Yong Tau Foo in town

1. Foong Foong YTF @Pekan Ampang

2. Corner coffee shop behind ex-wet market in Taman Cheras/Yulek (Open for breakfast/lunch). They are also popular for their lam mee and meat ball with shredded squid.

3. Corner coffee shop opposite CIMB Bank @Sentosa, PJ.
O&S Restaurant @ Taman Paramount, PJ (behind the shops that opposite POS)
(Both open for breakfast/lunch)

4. A stall at a T-junction, opposite wet market which is behind Hang Tuah LRT station  (open at night). They sell chee cheong fun and I particular love their smooth and fragile (water) tau foo, abit pricey though.

5. Margaret Yong Tau Foo @USJ flats, court 9 (open for lunch/dinner) - beware of the bad service and arrogant attitude that they are famous for as well. You can give vinegar pork and paper-wrapped chicken a try.

V1-00-06, Subang Perdana,
Goodyear Court 9 (around USJ 8 area),
Persiaran Mulia, 47610 Subang Jaya
Tel: 012-691 6576

6. Puchong Yong Tau Fu @Puchong Utama - first choice for many YTF fans out there. I think you might need to put some effort to look for this:

  • IF you are coming from KL where Tesco is on your right, look for Tractor Malaysia’s before reaching a sharp corner.
  • Keep left after Tesco, go further straight at the sharp corner and drive pass TM’s yard  and DHL which are on your right.
  • When you reach Han Ming primary school on your right, turn left into a junction which will lead you into 14th Mile Puchong New Village. The Chinese primary school is on your left.
  • Turn left just after the school compound. The narrow road would lead you slightly uphill until you see a junction on your left again.
  • Turn left and you would come face to face with Restaurant Wong which also serves exotic dishes besides YTF.
  • Turn right and the corner shop is just right in front.

7.  Ipoh Road Yong Tow Foo - pure quality fish paste (?????, ??? for fish balls) is used and priced at 90cent. The filling is made daily to ensure freshness. The shop is easily spotted and new branch is open at Kelana Jaya. They are closed on Mondays.

67?Jalan Segambut
Tel: 03-6252 6473

Kelana Jaya (the corner shop with yellow signboard after LRT station - from the direction of Damansara to Kelana Jaya)
No1, Jalan SS4D/2,
People’s Park,
Kelana Jaya

8. Yong Tau Fu at Imbi open night hawker stalls beside Honda showroom. You will not miss it if you drive pass Imbi Road.
